The first step in this regard is the establishment of Hazara Institute of Cardiology (HIC). HIC will be an organization that will provide world class cardiology facilities initially for the Northern Regions. Because from Gilgit to Hasan Abdal, there is not a single institution that has machinery and facilities for complete diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases. The major goals of HIC are twofold. The first target is the awareness campaign on how we can significantly reduce heart diseases by considering our diet and daily activities and there are many diseases that are caused only due to dietary indifference. They can be completed eliminated. The second goal of HIC is to provide all the necessary facilities for treatment of heart disease inspite of all the precautions and arrange the latest machinery and provide the best specialists. Establishment of a medical college for doctors and a nursing college for paramedics in HIC is also included in the goals. It will be the first institute to treat heart diseases free of cost with world class machinery and arrangements.
